Granny Style Crossbody
I understand that schedules can be busy and that a large granny square project may be too much of a commitment at this time. That's why I wanted to include a quick and satisfying project from this collection that you can try. The Granny Style Crossbody bag is made from only 4 granny squares, making it a fun and manageable project for any level of experience.
With this pattern, you will learn how to create a puff stitch granny square, the flat slip stitch join technique, and how to attach rings to the side of the bag for removable straps. In the video tutorial, I demonstrate how to create a simple knit-look Tunisian strap, although you can also purchase a decorative strap from Amazon if you prefer.
If you're looking for a fun project that you can complete in just a few hours, then the Granny Style Crossbody bag is perfect.

I have been making beautiful, modern, and unique items from MJ’s Off the Hook Designs for at least 8 years. I have also had the great pleasure of testing several pattern for her. Her crochet a longs have always been my favorite to participate in and she also works with some amazing designers when she does them.
I have always went straight to her website when looking for a new design to make for myself or my daughters. Her patterns are always straight forward, easy to follow, and her sizing always works out! I have received multiple compliments every time I wear a design I have made from her. Several of them have also won first place ribbons at my county fair! When a fellow crocheter asks for some of my favorite patterns I always send them to MJ’s. From beginner to advanced she has it covered! Happy Crocheting!!
